Electrical lineworkers have continuous training to handle everyday work and emergencies at great heights. This video, courtesy of Basin Electric Power Cooperative, shows a 2015 training in which a lineworker uses emergency procedures to safely get down from a 345-kv transmission line. This is a “live line” training, which means that the wires still carry electricity. This is also known as the wires still being “energized."
